BUSD Fix-it Fests - Volunteers Needed
When: Feb. 8, 2025
Time: 1-3:30 pm
Where: Longfellow Middle School (currently located at the Berkeley Adult School), 1701 San Pablo Avenue., Berkeley, CA 94702
Transition Berkeley has beeb collaborating with Berkeley Unified School District and other organizations to host three repair events throughout the 2024-25 school year to provide an opportunity for members of our schools & community to learn how to repair household items.
Register an item to get help with repair ahead of time (recommended) or bring it in as a walk-in. Bring your broken appliances, toys, electronics, bikes and clothing.
Go to the website to sign up to volunteer on the day of the event or to help out with repair.

Skill & Idea Share Gatherings

Native Plant Pollinator Gardens
When: Ongoing work parties to plant and maintain gardens.
Where: Various Berkeley Park sites.
Want to help support local habitat and our bird, butterfly and bee friends? Your help can make a big difference. Come plant or maintain one of the native plant gardens in a Berkeley park. There are many sites to choose from. No experience necessary.

Crop Swap & Share in Ohlone Park
When: Weekly gatherings, Mondays, May 6 - Sept. 30, 2024 ((Note: event has ended for the this year. Join the Skill & Idea Share or other events being offered!)
Time: 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Where: West end of Ohlone Park, across from North Berkeley BART, near the ball field.
This is a glorious opportunity to pass along any homemade goodies, seeds, seedlings, extra vegetable and fruit harvest.
If you don’t have anything to bring, that’s totally ok too - just come with your brilliant self and your desire to help foster a connected, regenerative community! There is always enough to go around!
